SYMBOIL AG | The slogan “Empowered by nature“ is a symbol for sustaining future within the bio-fuel market. To implement the ambitious plans, subsidiaries have been established for the production of renewable raw materials overseas to ensure supplies to Combined Heat Power (CHP) units running on vegetable oil.
• Development of renewable energy systems | Developing a supply chain for vegetable (oil) fuels and biodiesel.
• Food for Africa – Agriculture in Ghana | Planning and investing in a high-yielding sustainable agriculture; company-owned land of 6,500 hectares in the Central Region.
• Extraction of palm oil for both traditional use and energy recovery in Ghana | Company-owned nursery with a capacity of 250,000 seedlings annually (possible cultivation: approx. 1,500 ha/yr); company-owned land of 4,800 hectares in the Western Region.
• Feasibility study in Ghana – Plantation of Jatropha Curcas | Study of the cultivation and extraction of Jatropha Curcas in selected areas of Ghana and the social integration of local family farms into the present project based on the considered agricultural practices.
• Foundation of two subsidiaries in Russia, Ryazan and Skopin | Cultivation of 5,000 hectares of rape, partly by contract farming and subjecting to social and economic sustainability criteria.
• Feasibility study of establishing oil mills / production facilities in Russia and Czech Republic to produce rape oil for technical application (industrial use) | Planning the processing technology (processing capacity: 10,000 tons rape seed) including storage and transport to Germany. Elaborate budgeting, liquidity planning and borrowing requirements.
• Feasibility study – Establishing an oil mill for the extraction of Jatropha- and Sunflower | Developing alternative fuels and heating fuels; Study of marketing and the field of application of vegetable (oil) fuel; study of production capacity and market potential.
• Systematic evaluation of project proposals from SE-Asia, Africa and South America| supply vegetable oil (palm, Jatropha) to CHPs meeting sustainability criteria. This included due diligence activities in Indonesia and Malaysia.
• Extensive technical experience in the fields of renewable energy | Terms of biogas plants in combination with palm oil mills, waste management by pyrolysis systems; processing of coconut and palm kernel shells.
